Conscription and the End of the War?

The introduction of conscription in peace time, before the outbreak of war, and how relatively politically uncontroversial that is. The argument tends to break out in the isolationof s versus internationalist side. Ad post po humpe just becomes completely uncontrosetally different. Does this sense of citizens as servants of the state shift as the war goes on?
