Thomas Jefferson - The Man Who Wrote the Declaration of Independence

Thomas jefferson was born in virginia in 17 forty three. His father had died when he was 14, so when jefferson turned 21, he inherited five thousand acres and about forty slaves. Jefferson's great accomplishment was writing this up quickly and eloquently. The point was never originality, and no one, certainly not thomas jefferson, thought what he was writing would basically become the centrepiece of civic religion.
