Weep Not, Young Man
A widow did not inherit anything from her husband's estate, only her children do. Because she's in this extreme place of vulnerability, we read that Jesus has compassion on her. I really see Jesus looking at this individual as if he is his brother. And I also see this as a great harkening back to another widow son raised from the dead.
