The Challenges of Soil Organic Carbon

The roots of the plants have a layer of clay over them, something around them like glue you can think about it. And as they grow, this layer around the root effectively interacts with the soil around it to sequester more soil organic carbon. It actually creates that bondage in carbon molecules. The bigger the root system, it's effectively sequestered all that carbon by growing its roots and area around it.
