What Happens to Enslaved Women Who Have Children With Their Masters?
In islonic context, women who enslave women who have children with their male free masters get special walid status. Children of any other enslaved women or wives automatically go into the inheritance pool. In iberia in the thirteenth century and italy in the late fourteenth century, there starts to be just an assumption that if the father recognizes that the child is his, then that child can be free.
