The History of the Eunuchs in China
Castration was one of the original five punishments, or wosing, of ancient china. The other four were tattooing face, cutting off the nose and death by quartering. They appeared in the roman empire, but it was really in asia where unich history was overwhelmingly written. We are pretty sure eunuchs in chinese history went back to at least the shang dynasty, seventeenth century.
