The Hermes of the Classical Greeks
A herm is a head and shoulder bust or cylinder of nothing, except for a little like threety carve out of a dick. They were originally sacred objects in classical greece, depicting the god hermes. The style came to be used for other subjects, and was copied by the romans. S were not intended to be part of the depiction, but were a remnant of the originalats.
