The Anti-Predative Effect of Photoluminescence on Door Mice

Photoluminescence has been found in a few nocturnal mammals like flying squirrels and spring hairs. One of the researchers who did this study Greta Numut at Tallinn Zoo made a bet with her colleague that door mice would be photoluminescent too. The loser had to bake a cake for the other one so they took some animals from the zoo and they shone UV light on and Greta won her bet. I'm afraid I don't know about the cake, I'll have to send our reporter Joshua Lönn to do a bit more reporting on that one.
