I didn't even have a frame of reference to be kind of jealous or comparing myself to because I didn't even know that that was an option. My grandma had very strong opinions about what investment looks like or what savings look like. We both had no savings really, other than the weird stuff in our bank, which was like a couple thousand bucks. And we understood that, wow, this is the only thing that's valuable. And it's giganticly valuable in comparison to what else we have. It happened to a company that could handle such a financial loss. If that would have been us, everything we built over years would have been lost at that point.
