Acute Liver Failure - Is There a New Therapies in Development?
NAC seems to really be the only thing that we're pulling for in supportive care but I'm curious if there's anything else in development. There are no great therapies that are imminently available. Some cell-based therapy and mesenchymal stem cells which when implanted or infused can potentially differentiate into parasite-like cells and then subserve those liver functions. immunomodulatory cell approaches like T-regs regulatory T cells also being explored.
