Maslow realized towards the end of his life is that really life is about the plateau experiences. He was confused because, according to his hierarchy of needs model, if he goes down to the bottom of the hierarchy, all of a sudden, and has these concerns about safety, well, that should block self-actualization. In my book, I tried to reconcile that paradox. That's one of the most fundamental paradoxes I try to reconcile.
