The Connection Between User and Compiler
One of the big projects i was involved in at jan street is doing profile guided octumizations in a camel. We call them fidbeg directed otamization those days. The idea is to collect execution profiles during program ecution and inuse them to improve cogeneration. And by changing the code, as i mentioned earlier, my change may have effects that are not related to the the code.
