Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem
In first kings, chapter six, verse one, it was in the second month that solomon began the building of the first temple. The whole process of rebuilding the house of god is overseen by the priests. Verses 12 and 13 describe a poignant mix of emotions as they see the prospect of the worship of the lord being established once more in its fulness. Weeping and joyful shouting mingled together in a great and indistinguishable noise. A question to consider, can you think of any reasons why the feast of booth would be an especially apt festival for the re establishment of the worshipof the people?
