The actors had to eat on every take because they never knew when the camera was specifically on them or not. Ed Helms ate an enormous amount of hot dogs, if I remember correctly. Joey Chestnut has won every year since 2007 with the exception of 2015. Mickey Sudo broke his world record by eating 75 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
