How Much Do You Want Headwinds or Tailwinds?
The more people who adopt commodities in trend following, I think congestion strategies get interesting. Looking at things like what's happening in the curve and trading longer versus shorter dated futures, looking for congestion becomes a more interesting trade. The convexity that that type of strategy is going to exhibit is going to be over a much longer period. A three month trend, you might get convexity over a one or two month selloff. Nine month trend? No, that's not where you're going to exhibit convexity.
