The Genealogical Approach to Intellectual History
Aphorism: The well ordered mind is like a genealogical tree in which all the branches spring from the trunk and so communicate with one another. Relationships of every degree appear clearly in it, showing family descent in all its connections. Is this kind of a Genealogical approach to intellectual history and history in general.
