The title Bad Actors was chosen by chance. It had been in my mind for a while, but I got distracted and that one became Sloughhouse. And it was interesting to see whether I could generate suspense and have an action sequence which just kept on going throughout. The reader doesn't necessarily notice, but it gives it an extraordinary energy and sense of perspective zipping around between all the characters.
