Blades in the Dark, Mechanics Bore Me

I've tried to read it a couple of times in the past, bounced off it on both occasions, largely because i mechanics bore me. It took me a long time to get to the second wow in in blades in the dark. I have played other games by the same design r i played a terrific campaign just last year, just last summer. Has it been a year since last summer? Feels like it's been about four months. But anyway, i'm playeg lady blackbirdly, way back in the past when we were young.
