"Suicidality does not fall out of the sky on us," Dr. Pasachao says. "It's intimately related to our life experiences, including those of trauma, oppression and struggling with systems of inequity and racism in our country." In community health centers, we're acutely aware that for all of us, our health is most powerfully influenced by what has come to be called social determinants or social drivers of health", he adds.
