Closing Script Compilers - Is There Anything You Shouldn't Be Using Anymore?
Google is deprecating a feature called goog.provide that was still all about doing things at a global level, you were still defining a global name basically. So we invented goog. module where you're actually declaring something to be a module and that's what should be used in the future. There's still lots of code at Google that hasn't been updated yet, but we expect that to change in the next year or two for those to all be gone.
