Hegel Never Mentions the French Revolution in the Phenomenology
There's really are no instances where he mentions the actual historical event in the phenomenology yet it's pretty clear. Even his critique of the reign of terror and the French Revolution never mentions the French Revolution. And for him, history would always be too instantialized. Like it would always, if you tied the idea totally to the historical event, then you're making it into a particular, and you're losing track of the universal.
