CMBS Markets in the First Half of 2023
In the first half of 2023, domestic private label CMBS issuance totaled about $10 billion. The AAA spread at 165 over the curve is down from 230 over the curve for the last deal to price in Q1. We saw cash spreads come in considerably from March 30st to June 30th and 40 basis points or so across the market. And we saw a really nice rally in the warehouse lending protection markets as prices got cheaper on that front.
