The Relationship Between Teachers and Students
For Japanese teachers I know from at least in middle and high school each class has a homeroom teacher. For me my name is warren al so they would technically call me al sensei but because I'm a foreign language teacher and part of my job is also to be really friendly with them I just let them call me warren. If they're scared because they've been messing around too much and I switch to a stern voice they called me warren sensei. Pretty interesting conversations too occasionally where students are just like whining about this guy that bothers them in class but they're actually secretly in love with them or they want to know. That's another amusing point for most teachers it
