Is There a Moral Context to Statesmanship?

The notion of Statesmanship is empirical in the sense that it describes a real phenomena, but that phenomena is normative. It's the virtues are integral to the phenomena itself. We cannot understand reality without the moral qualities and the virtues integral to that reality itself. And Protestant and Catholic alike, we would point to the classical virtues as part of God's gift of the natural law and of creation order of natural revelation.
