Aristotle's Inquiry Method

How optimistic do you think aristotle is about all this? I mean, he's got an inquiry method, or may be got several methods of inquiry. He certainly seems to think that he himself has made a lot of progress compared to his predecessors,. including plato. And there are moments in the treatises where you get the feeling that he actually thinks he's pretty much finished at all. But i think most of the time, he he doesn't feel that way. He thinks there's a lot of work to be done. Next time, on the history of philosophy without any gaps.
