McKinley was forced out when West Virginia lost a congressman in the last census. McKinley was really, really good at playing across party lines and that turned out to be his downfall. He ended up voting for the infrastructure bill and voting for the January 6th commission. That just would not abide with former President Trump, who endorsed his opponent.
