China's Ambitions Are Regional, but It's Not Just a Region
Both russia and china believe that liberal ideology is an existential threat to their regimes. So they're sort of forced, by their reading of what liberal id ology is about, a to engage in full blown ideological conflict with us. I think it's also, you know, to say that china's ambitions are regional is a little bit a misleading in the sense that for example, tiwan is clearly the thing that is most cerned about. But if china were to succeed in forcefully reunifying within incorporating tian ou, basly have the problem where japan, at that point, its trade is in china's hands.
