The velvet underground is one of the most important and influential bands in rock history. Their songs alone helped bring about the end of communism in Lavakia simply by virtue of existing. Brian Eno said that while very few people bought the first velvet underground record in 1967 every person who did went out and started a band. The Velvet Underground was a domino in the toppling of the communism in Eastern Europe it's fucking insane.
