Hypercholemia Management - What Are Your First Steps?
The most wife-threatening concern we have with hypercholemia is how it impacts a cardiac membrane. So the first thing you want to do is stabilize the patient, afterwards we think about shifting, and then finally eliminating potassium. What's stabilizing what we usually do is provide calcium glucanate or calcium chloride in order to prevent any kind of precipitation into an unstable arrhythmia. And so all these strategies are going to really be able to cause much of an improvement because the total body still has high potassium.
