In a time when our interactions with others and the barrage of information we take in are all too transient, perhaps it is worth making a bit more time for reading out loud. Research suggests that it could help you remember words more effectively. The production effect means producing words, saying them out loud, makes a difference to your ability to remember them later. Even just mouthing words when you read them helps to help them go into your brain.
Reading out loud can have lots of benefits on our memory and our mental health. How can it help with your English? In this episode I read an article, help you understand it and give comments on the importance of reading, both quietly in your head, and out loud.
