Gorbacho had been a sort of cast back to provinces after graduating from the moscow state university. He found himself among those inacrass, middle level aparacics who had no intellectual pursuits at all,. And for him, he felt like hero being cast away on an island. His wife was also graded to amoscstate, vestyraisa and two of them cultivated an intellectual life style. So they decided, nono, we will not be consumed by all this provincial morass. We will read books. Sociology, political science, philosophers and things like that. Maybe too philosophical for a practical leader of such a complex country as the soviet union
