I think the other thing that comes to mind is of course the TV propaganda and what it's like to be in this other information environment. The presence of Soviet iconography and images are still up all over the country, which was really astounding to me. If you're a child, for example, when you're going to the Lenin-Mazaliam or whatever it may be, you're still saying, well, hi. On the one hand, we're supposed to have a totally different ideology, but on the otherhand, we're still everywhere celebrating the figures of this ideology that we claim to have disavowed. So I think that's another kind of piece of this ideological contradiction
