The Dangers of Dissociative Stupor
The celebrated mystery writer Agatha Christie disappeared from her home in Birkenchire, England on the evening of December 3, 1926. In many cultures, certain forms of trance are recognized as expressions of religious fear or possession trance. There's also this thing called a dissociative stupor, where the person reacts to a traumatic event by becoming immobile and mute.
