There was a culture of studying aristotle in its own terms, an even rushe interpretation of aristotelianism. This is something that in padova, people felt free, or professors felt free, to profess or to teach,. although it seemd to contradict many religiousd tenets and principles. And emedigob belonged to this tradition. He was not in the university. He was jewish. But he was part of this paduan culture in which people could say, aristotle said this and that and that, not caring too much if it contradicted their religious
