If you want to own your company's anonymously, you can form a Wyoming LLC that in turn owns whatever other LLCs that you might have. If they try to look for who formed these entities, all it points back to is a law firm. So if privacy is important to you about like saying, hey, I don't like people to know what it is that I own because that just creeps me out? You're better off not being sued at all. In recessions, the lawsuits actually go up, not down - especially if you're an easy target.
