The Complexity of Decolonization

For me, decolonization meant realizing that going to a French school when I was in Morocco my parents sent us to a French School. It's a very complex process because it really forces you to let go of everything that you know. And your opening doors that those around you are opening, you can't close them again. But without idealizing it as well, because these communities can also be very suffocating in various ways for the individual to thrive or for identities to be fully embraced in safety.
