Buddhist Mysticism and the Soul

The difficulty in talking about it is obviously part of the myth-making of the Buddha. It refuses to talk about what necessarily comes after death and doesn't really make much mention of the soul. The ineffable, or that which cannot be described or captured by words, is a feature of the human condition. In Buddhism, we do have these great names for practices that seek to acquaint individuals and groups with it.
