The Importance of Psychological Safety in Work

In 1990, William Kahn wrote a paper about the psychological conditions of personal engagement and disengagement at work. In 1999, Amy Edmondson at Harvard added to this by describing psychological safety as shared belief that members of a team are safe for interpersonal risk taking. So now we have even more momentum in what we see today as psychological safety.
