The Reliability of Japanese Government Figures
In 2018-19, the average production quantity was approximately 1.1% and 1.16 billion nappies a month. In 2022-23, this had decreased quite dramatically to approximately 723 million nappie a month. This is still a much higher production quantity than adult nappies. So, in the last financial year, that's over four times as many baby nappies being produced compared to adult ones.
