The Cat and the Dog in World War One
Oscar joined a British ship called HMS Arc Royal. It was the same ship which had helped sink the first ship of squad on the Bismarck. The British decided to change Oscar's name to Sam. In fact, they called him Unsinkable Sam. A German submarine fired a torpedo at HMS Arc Royal and hit her. Almost all the sailors were saved but Sam was found clinging to a wooden plank. That was the last time that Sam went to sea. Afterwards he went to live in England and had a full and very happy life.
