There's a lot of scope in psychoanalysis for this type of a sub genre, right? And that could be through trauma or some form of weird uncanny experience where you live. It can also include extreme scenarios such as an actual burglar coming in. I'm not just dealing with the very classic traditional home invasion kind of funny games type movies but also other kind of dark awkward domestic set movies like The Invitation and Speak No Evil.
