The US and NATO Support Ukraine in the Conflict
A US official told the Wall Street Journal that it's still too early to assess the Ukrainian counter-offensive since Kiev has not committed all of its combat brigades. Victoria Newland will take over as the acting second in command at the state department. She replaces Wendy Sherman, who plans to retire at the end of this week. The appointment will be a boon for Russia hawks who want to turn up the heat on the Kremlin.
