Is There a Way to Summarize the Electricity Consumption?

i think we have a hard time understanding how much energy we use and how many omissions we produce. It's really difficult to establish a sort of intuition base line for what these numbers mean, because we're in a very different position from most of the world. So i can say, like, right now, the ethereum network is probably using somewhere round two point seven, three gigoats of power. But to almost everybody, those numbers mean absolutely nothing.
