The Lost Musicians
In 1700 there was something like, uh, 3500 Faroeese people. They held tightly to their language even though there were so few of them. There are no music, native musical instruments here. So they sung these ballads and in the 1700s as the romantic movement was sweeping Europe, there was a big interest in looking at our own histories rather than Latin.
