I think I have a pretty clear picture beforehand, what sort of color I want for the different pieces. If it's a slow and fragile piece, there is going to be strings probably. It's like an oboe, it's very different from a flute. So it really depends from the different instruments groups. Brass is of course tied to announcement, triumph and big moments. When the King came to chord, it was the trumpet play, for a reason. The way George Martin would take their music and then score it in a way that was sort of like the proper way.
