"There's a lot of Genesis going on in this," he says. "It's funny because synon itself, which is like really in so many ways, like there's the genesis of all of that." The first rehab center was set up by Charles Edidrick who wanted to make people more controllable after World War II. He started it as an offshoot of Alcoholics Anonymous when acid tests were being carried out down at UCLA during the early 1950s.
