Mises: I take issue with his most important conclusions on the psychological sphere. He doesn't make clear how reason specifically gets to interact with the mimetic part of ourselves, he's a Christian and I'm not. And again, in his social conclusions, this idea of the scapegoat mechanism, it's a super important and valid thing, but it's only when things go bad that you pick up Gerard. Mises: There's much more human agency than the sort of certain apocalypse that he thinks we're babbling down towards. At least in our lifetimes.
