Introduction

A lot of amateur musicians, or people who are hobbyists, talk about how happy they are because they don't feel any pressure. They just do it because it makes them happy and they love doing it. So the idea of being happy as an amateur and being unhappy as a pro is a pretty sad state of affairs. Why is it that so many pros become bitter and burnt out and just, you know, jaded?
