Class One Monotheist or Polytheist?

In many languages, including english, the term god isn't restricted to class one's spirits. It's commonly ended to class two, or superhuman spirits. So even if you are a class one monotheist, you might be a polytheist if we extend the term god to class two spirits. For example, with shintoists, who believe in a single class one spirit, they're still counted as polytheists because they believe in multiple class two spirits like ama terisu, the sun goddess.
