The Other World
Narnia is all black and white, but Middle-earth is shades of grey. I'd rather live in Rivendell or Gondor any day. Tolkien was talking about what you call the Other World. Only he had another name for it. He called it Fairy. In it are pitfalls for the unwary and dungeons for the over-bold. And pitfalls and dungeons and perils. It's the same kind of thing you're saying here, isn't it, when you talk about temptation and corruption? You might think that your poor harried niece has more in common with you than you might think.
